Cougar Hall of Fame
We are so excited to begin a new tradition at Clark, the Cougar Hall of Fame! This award will honor and recognize students who are excelling at Clark Middle School. We will recognize two students per week in the Communicator.
Cougar Hall of Fame
Brendan Stillie
Brendan is an excellent student. He participates in class and works hard to complete his assignments in a timely manner. He shows respect to his peers and teachers whether in class or in the hall. All of his teachers enjoy having him in class.
Stay tuned next week for two more awesome Cougar Hall of Fame recipients!
Gage Larned
Gage exemplifies Cougar Pride. His work ethic is strong, and his dedication to his academics is admired by his teachers and friends. Gage is respectful to adults and peers in and out of the classroom, and his positive attitude is a driving force in his success.
8th Grade Students and Parents
Believe it or not, it’s already time to start planning for high school courses for next year!
FISD is currently undergoing authorization to be able to offer the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme at Frisco High School. The IB Diploma Programme is a rigorous high school graduation program recognized world-wide where students complete challenging coursework and IB specific requirements to develop well-rounded students who are able to contribute their talents to a global society. If you are interested in joining this program next year, please be sure to attend one of the IB Information Nights at Frisco HS.
IB Information Nights

Canvas
Canvas is our new learning management system (LMS), and it is taking the place of Learning Hub, Google Classroom, and class websites. Canvas provides an online platform in which students can interact with course material and activities. As parents, you can be an observer in the Canvas courses that your students are enrolled in this year. An observer can see due dates, announcements, and other course content but cannot participate in the course. The instructions provided will help you get started by creating a Canvas account and pairing it with your students.
Students may have already had an opportunity to log into Canvas during their first week of school. Students that need help getting logged in can use the resources included here. Students must log in and get a pairing code for their parents to sign up as observers.
We hope that this new tool increases efficiency as we partner with you in your child’s educational journey.
