Freedom of Tee Shirts

Public schools should NOT have uniforms

West Haven should keep the public, public.

West Haven High School was in the works of adding school uniforms as a mandatory aspect of attending the school. But public school is just that, public; we shouldn't have to wear uniforms in a school that is for everyone, no matter what they dress or act like.

What the officials are saying...

"Violates a student's right to freedom of expression," states www.Greatschools.org. Which is very true, the limitations of uniforms constrict the creativity of students. In addition, " By denying students the opportunity to fully express their unique personality through the clothing they select, individualism is unable to develop to its fullest capacity " a conclusion drawn by www.Publicschoolsreview.com. www.Greatschools.org also stated they "Are a financial burden for families."

If you're interested in adding the fight against uniforms in public schools, there will be a rally on the West Haven Green. To show what you're standing for wear the craziest , most creative outfit you can put together. Show the schools they can't cap our creativity!
