STEM Academy Newsletter

August/September 2022

A message from our principal:

Welcome to the 2022-23 school year!

I am Katie Louie, the very proud principal of this amazing school! We are so excited to welcome back our returning students and welcome for the first time MANY new students to the STEM Academy! We hope you have all had a wonderful and restful summer. At SVT, we are all committed to preparing our students to pursue THEIR passions!

We are gearing up for a great year and look forward to seeing everyone on September 8th. Our theme this year is SHINE ON! We are excited to see all of the many ways our students will shine with their impact on our school and local communities. It never ceases to amaze me what our students can do and I know this year will be no different. We want our students to shine in their academics, but also in their character and behavior. Together we can shine a bright and positive light on our community!

This newsletter will serve as our August & September information platform and we will be sure to send updates if/when they are available. Please be sure to keep an eye on your text messages, emails, and our Facebook page for updates and information.

Enjoy your last couple of weeks before school officially starts. We cannot wait to have you all back!

Regards,

Katie Louie

2022-2023 STEM ACADEMY BELL SCHEDULE

You will notice some adjustments to our daily bell schedule for the 2022-23 school year. These changes allow us to offer more flexibility to student schedules, allow students to interact with peers across grade levels, and enjoy each other’s company with one lunch! We will have consistency in start and end times for classes with common passing times and things will appear much cleaner for our students and families in PowerSchool. We are excited to start this new bell schedule. Please note that our classes start at 7:50 AM daily; we do not have late start Thursdays.
