Lutherville Lab Report
What's gone down & what's coming up at the leopards' lair.
June 10th, 2022
This week has been full of celebration and culmination. We had lovely picnics, a wonderful primary sports day, magical music concert, lovely food truck night, and adorable kindergarten celebration ALL THIS WEEK!
We have worked through a school year unlike any other and are grateful for your partnership throughout! Please consider taking a few moments in the week ahead to share gratitude with our teachers and staff who have demonstrated remarkable flexibility and perseverance as we navigated a restart to full-time in-person learning to start the year, various degrees of health and safety protocols, and filling academic gaps and absences.
Looking ahead, please remember that our final two days -- Wednesday 6/15 and Thursday 6/16 are 1:05 dismissals. We look forward to the 3rd grade picnic and 5th grade Farewell on Monday and Tuesday of next week.
During the summer, the School Office hours will be 8:00 - 3:00.
We want Lutherville to continue to improve and thrive -- and need your help! We have two opportunities. Next week, I will reach out to all who have offered to participate and survey for available times.
Mission/Vision Revision: 2 meetings over the summer to identify themes in survey responses from staff and community members and revise our vision for Lutherville Lab.
Equity Guiding Coalition: Information was shared about this initiative on Wednesday and the letter is also attached here. This group will help consider our programs and practices at Lutherville and consider how we can create the conditions for every students to thrive. We will meet monthly, initiating over the summer and continuing throughout the school year.
Finally, I want to share an open invitation. Please know that I always want to hear from our community and your feedback has helped us be better throughout the year. As we have some time over the summer to prepare and plan, please know that I am very happy to chat, answer questions, and just listen as you share your experiences and insights. Your perspective is valuable and valued.
In partnership,
-Mr. McComb
