Barack Obama was born in Honolulu, Hawaii on August 4, 1961 to Ann Durham and Barack Obama Sr. Barack attended the Columbia University and Harvard Law School where he became the first African American Editor of the Harvard law Review . He then started teaching at the University of Chicago Law School , where he married his wife Michele .
