Happy Thanksgiving! It's a Great Day to be an Owl!
As we prepare for our Thanksgiving Break next week, I am personally thankful for all the people who work and volunteer to make Chireno ISD such a great place.
Every day, our teachers, support staff, volunteers and administrators come to school prepared to provide the best possible experience for our students. Not only do we work together to help students learn, but we also provide a safe, nurturing place for them.
CISD is much more than a school. We are a family! We foster hopes and dreams! When I visit classrooms throughout our school, I see teachers and staff working with students on social skills and etiquette. Staff members collaborating to provide opportunities for students to have experiences and success. I think of the "Angel Tree", Scholarships, fundraising, and the countless hours of watching ballgames, field trips, and incentive opportunities we provide our students. We have quiet angels who take care of needs – students who need jackets; girls who need prom dresses; a child who needs money for a field trip; and countless other everyday needs quietly cared for by angels in our district.
I am thankful for creative staff members who look for ways to motivate and excite our students.
I am thankful that there are too many examples to list. Our school district is full of wonderful people, and wonderful programs. Our community is supportive, and contributes both time and resources to our schools.
As we move through this season of Thanksgiving, I am thankful to be a part Chireno ISD! Have a great Thanksgiving and God bless each of you.
Sincerely,
Tim Norman, Superintendent
