Principal's Message
Dear Families,
I hope you received a letter from the district specifying how we plan to restore lost instructional time due to weather. We lost a total of nine days due to snow and ice in December and January. Since we have two snow days built into our calendar already, we will be restoring six Instructional days. Please refer to this letter for further details.
Below are the planned events and activities for the rest of the school year. The six instructional days have been added into the calendar. Additionally, because teachers no longer have a Work Day without students to complete the second trimester report cards, report cards will be going home on March 24 instead of March 17.

PTO SAFETY NIGHT
I would like to thank the PTO and especially Lark Asbury for a very informative safety night. Anna Vallee, our Technology Instructional Assistant, and Jon Samuelson, our Technology Innovation Strategist, shared how we teach cyber safety through our classrooms. Mr. Samuelson also assisted parents with tips on how we monitor cyber safety when students are on devices at home. Mrs. Ray, our counselor, shared how we teach the bully proofing curriculum at school and what we do as a staff to make sure that our school is a safe place. Sally Blackwood from Cares Northwest discussed the sexual development of students and how to talk to students so they will come to you when they feel uncomfortable in any way. There was a lot of useful information for parents at this session.
