Newseum offers educator's fabulous resources
Newseum is a wonderful resource for lesson plans, digital artifacts, and videos. It's free to join Newseum, just make an account and you have access to historical events, interactive lessons, and other educational tools provided. Do you need a lesson to celebrate or educate students about Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. or Black History Month? Check out Newseum's ideas.
Newseum also offers "Today's Front Pages" featuring front pages from newspapers from all over the United States and the world. Check out this great resource when you have some time.
Britannica School Via Your Portal
This year the library staff did not renew our online subscription to Grolier Online due to lack of use. If you or your students were missing an online encyclopedia, there is now one accessible through your EGUSD portal under Library Resources. State provided databases include Britannica which is leveled for elementary, middle, and high school. Check out the video overview that follows this article.
