Principal Announcements
Spring is almost here!
Thank you thank you for supporting RPS with the strawberry sales! We sold more this year than we ever have! Needless to say, RPS is very grateful! Hopefully you have all had the opportunity to meet with your child’s teacher and discuss the progress your child has made this year. If you have not scheduled that meeting at this time, please do so, The teachers are planning to have these completed by March 10.
Hopefully many of you will be attending the PTO Sweetheart Dance on March 2 from 6-7:30.
Don’t forget we will not have school on March 10 or March 13 and we move our clocks up one hour on March 12. Spring break begins March 31 and the students return April 10. It seems every month is busy.
It is with mixed emotions that we share with you that the two of us have decided to end our careers as principals of Ringgold Primary. We have enjoyed working together the past three years and would not have been successful without the support of our stakeholders. Ringgold Primary is an amazing school and will continue to be so.
We wish to thank each of you for allowing us to be a part of your child’s first school experience.
We announced our decision to our staff last week and want you to be aware as well. We do not know at this time who will be hired as the next principal, but the county office will be posting this position and conducting interviews.
As always, please feel free to reach out to us with any questions.
Sincerely,
Nancy Gurganus
Alisan Taylor

Counselor Corner
- Character Education Trait
Character Education Trait for March is Perseverance, which means working diligently without
giving up.
- Mentors
We are hoping to begin having mentors meet with students at RPS again soon. Mentors typically
commit to meet with a student on a weekly basis to provide students with support and
encouragement from a positive adult role model. If you are interested in mentoring a student at
RPS, please contact Karen Farmer, RPS School Counselor by phone 706-937-5437, email
kfarmer.rps@catoosa.k12.ga.us or through Class Dojo. I look forward to hearing from you about
your willingness to participate in this wonderful opportunity!

Safety Tips from the SRO
Spring is here, and the weather, well, we will see. It will soon be Spring Break and time to enjoy a renewal. When traveling, please wear your seatbelts, check your tires, watch your speed, and watch out for other drivers. They may be on their cell phones and not watching for you and your loved ones. Remember, we want you to arrive at your destinations safely. The world is a happier place with you in it.
