College & Career Division
February is CTE Month, where we celebrate the programs, teachers, and students of Career & Technical Education. CTE allows students to explore, select, and complete specific career pathways, earn industry certifications, and have a competitive advantage in their post-secondary journey.
Stay up to date with our College & University Representative visits that our scheduled on our College & Career Division Calendar, & check out the upcoming internship & externship opportunities available to our students!

Thank you to Ford Motors for the generous contribution to the CTE Automotive Pathway at Hoover High School!

Check out a Culinary class period at Wilson Middle School and the meals they prepared! All GUSD Culinary pathways also provide students with an industry certification. Students in the culinary pathway receive an eFoodHandlers card and receive state-of-the-art training built for food professionals.
Congratulations to these students!

On September 30th, 2021, the inaugural cohort of students in the Glendale High School Cloud Computing & Computer Science Academy in partnership with Glendale Community College had their Family Night! Students, Families, District Administrators and Instructors opened up the classrooms to showcase student work and achievements.
Students in the Cloud Computing & Computer Science Academy have the ability to simultaneously earn their high school diploma, earn college credits, receive industry certifications, as well as a certificate in Cloud Computing.

Sixteen Glendale High School students are participating in the Dignity Health - Glendale Memorial Hospital Internship this semester! Students learn about the medical field and work first-hand with medical professionals and prepare for a future in the healthcare field.
During this year-long program, students will be on-site at the hospital one day per week for a three hour block of time. Through this special internship, GMHHC will provide Glendale Unified School District students with a unique, inspiring and inclusive experience.

Congratulations Nico for this achievement!

The Glendale High School CTE Culinary program students collaborated with Ms. Carnewal's Art class, and created some amazing edible artwork!
Art students drew their designs, and the culinary students stepped in and brought the drawings to life in dessert form! Nice work!

Hoover High School Culinary Pathway students participated in the Great Steak-Off and worked in teams to cook their own steak recipes! The competition was judged by Hoover High School Administrators. Their food looks delicious!

Congratulations to Clark Magnet High School CTE GIS students for winning the NASA TechRise Student Challenge. Students had to design an experiment to test on a suborbital rocket or high-altitude balloon. Congratulations!
