Parent Updates!

Parents,

Our teachers will begin contacting you soon for you to sign up for October conferences. This is a great time for you to see your child's recent summative assessments, discuss their progress, and develop a plan for improvement for your student! Please be on the lookout for this communication.

James I. Dawson received $34,000 from the Tennessee Valley Authority to fund STEM education!

Please remind your students that all cell phones must be put away and off during the hours of 7:30 am and 2:30 pm.

Reminders!

  • Doors open for all students at 7:30 am. Instruction begins at 8:00 am. There will not be supervision here for your child before 7:30 am when the office opens.
  • Please allow your students to walk to their classroom independently. There are plenty of adults in the hallways throughout the building to help guide and direct our students. They really enjoy the independence and we enjoy seeing their smiling faces walking to their classrooms each morning!
  • Pre-K drop-off and sign-in are only on the side of the building. Pre-K are considered late at 7:50 am.
  • Students in grades 3-6th who have not paid their $35.00 laptop usage fee in a prior year, need to please send in their payments as soon as possible.
