Home & School "Giving Tree" Book Drive

On Thursday 3/19 your child will bring home information on a way for students to "leave" their mark on the school's library by helping to grow the number of books in circulation in the Skyview Library. There are two ways to participate in this drive: (1) return a check (payable to Skyview Home& School) to buy a new book - suggested amount $18 (the average cost of a library book), and/or (2) send in a gently used book to place in the book box located in front of the library.

If you participate, don't forget to have your child decorate their leaf (again sent home on 3/19) and return it to school. Decorated leaves will be hung on our giving tree in the lobby.

Student/Faculty Basketball games

Skyview's annual student/faculty basketball games were held on Friday, March 13th. a great time was had by all as students cheered on their classmates and teachers. This event is the culminating activity to Hoops for Heart. We are proud that our students raised over $10,000 for the American Heart Association.

PSSA Testing

As indicated in the parent letter sent home with students, PSSA testing will occur on the following dates:
ELA (English Language Arts) - April 13,14,15 and 16
Math - April 21, 22, 23

In order to help your child prepare for the PSSA, please be sure he/she gets plenty of sleep the night before and eats breakfast each morning. If you are aware of any reason that your child will not be at school on one or more of the testing days, please contact the main office at 610-489-5000 *34200 so that make-up testing may be arranged. State mandate allows for make-up testing that extends several days beyond our scheduled testing dates. Any necessary make-up testing will take place immediately upon a student’s return to school.
