Update.....Zyautica Appleton is doing better. She has come out of surgery and is at the hospital currently. If you have any donations you would like to provide to the family, please let me know. The family is in good spirits and appreciate the thoughts that have been sent their way.

Kudos to our continued hard work in our PLC's. I like the conversations we are having regarding instruction and the willingness to improve your practices. These are crucial conversations for us to have to grow as educators and see more positive outcomes for our students. Keep up the good work!!!

ISTEP Part I testing is right around the corner. I have attached the schedule for review. I will be sharing more details in regards to restructuring the master schedule as well as test training at this week's coming staff meeting. Our goal is to be done the first week of the window, with the second week devoted to make-up sessions. This will minimize impact to instruction.

Data PLC's this week will focus on DIBELS progress monitoring for K-2 (please bring your tracking data) and Achievement Series training for Grades 3-6 (please bring your laptops to the conference room). Achievement Series will take the place of our weekly common assessments soon. Question- How do your students know where they are? What are their goals? Bring some samples of student data to our PLC meetings.

Speaking of Achievement Series....students will need to take a practice test next week to get into the system. This will last for approximately 30 mins. The schedule is attached for Thursday, Feb. 18th.

Staff meeting will be on Wednesday morning @ 7:30 am in the Media Center. Agenda will be forthcoming.

Continue enforcing positive behavior daily!! Use your Cardinal Cash to drive this enforcement. Make sure transitions, especially dismissal, are being followed with fidelity. When there are inconsistencies among classes, students become confused and think they can do the same. Goal- out of the building and buses rolling by 3:55 pm daily!
