2016 Carnival - Happy Birthday Hedgcoxe! Classroom Baskets
Attention Parents!
Hedgcoxe Elementary School turns 25 years old this year. Our 2016 Carnival will be a celebration of our school. Mark your calendar for The Hedgcoxe “Happy Birthday” Carnival on Friday, April 1st. Each class is asked to create a gift basket that can be auctioned during the carnival. All proceeds go to fund programs at Hedgcoxe.
Each classroom has a themed basket. You will be notified soon of your classroom's theme. Please consider donating one or more themed items to your basket. Nothing is too big or too small. If you don’t have time to shop and would like to have the room parent purchase items for you, please place your donation in an envelope labeled with their and send it to school with your child.
The baskets are a great attraction at the Carnival. We hope you will all help in making our class' baskets a huge success. Please send your donations to the classroom no later than Friday, March 18th. Baskets will be assembled by a carnival committee and placed on display one week prior to Carnival. Items can be placed in the collection box in the classroom.
Thank you,

Groovy Book Fair
Hello, Hedgcoxe Parents.
It’s time for our Groovy Spring Book Fair in the Hedgcoxe Library, where our aim is to promote the love of reading for all students.
The Book Fair will take place Friday, February 12th, through Friday, February 19th. Hours are 8:00 to 3:30 daily, with late shopping hours until 6:30 on Thursday, February 18th.
You can shop any time during the school day, including lunch times and after school. We’ll close at noon on the last day.
Also, to show our love for cool books, we are asking everyone to participate in Tie-Dye Tuesday on February 16th. Please have your student wear tie-dye t-shirts or bandanas that day.
If your student doesn’t have anything tie-dye to wear, then just have him/her wear bright colors to join in the fun.
Thanks as always for supporting our Book Fairs so generously, and Happy Reading!
Sincerely,
Karen Rippel
