Hadfield second and third graders are invited to take advantage of a free dental program offered by the Waukesha County Community Dental Clinic.

This program is designed to provide dental examinations, decay prevention (fluoride varnish), dental sealants if needed, and education about keeping teeth and gums healthy. Sealants are a tooth colored, plasticlike material that has been proven to be very effective in protecting teeth from decay (cavities). They are placed only on the chewing surfaces of back teeth (molars), but are not put on teeth that already have cavities.

The program will take place at school on Friday October 13th and all second and third graders are invited to participate. Information and permission forms have already been sent home. If your child did not bring one home click here for the permission form or stop in the office. Dental hygienists from the Waukesha County Community Clinic have talked with students about the program and about keeping their smiles healthy.

Buddy Classes

There is no better way to start a Friday than reading with your Buddy Class. Mrs. Clavette's Kindergarten class and Mr. Karnuth's 3rd grade class had a fun morning reading together and building our Hadfield community.

Photo Retake Day - Tuesday October 17th

If you missed Forms & Fees your child will have their photo taken on Tuesday October 17th. See the link for information to order online. Paper copies of the order form are available in the office.

What's Happening in Physical Education

This month 2nd-5th students completed their first round of fitness testing, as well as set goals to work towards for the end of the year. Kindergarten friends and 1st grade friends also worked on their fitness by working on a variety of fitness stations. Our big focus was brainstorming and sharing ideas of how to be active not only during PE, but outside of school as well. Each month I will share an activity calendar created by SHAPE, the national PE organization, where students and families are encouraged to complete the tasks and activities listed for each day! Keep an eye out for future months' calendars to come in the Newsletter as well! Thank you for supporting our PE program and students' health and wellness!
