Mask Mandate 😷
By now you have surely read the memorandum from our director, Mr. Nate Marshall relaying the order from Salt Lake County for all students and staff to wear masks indoors.
Should you have questions about this mandate or the exemption process I urge you to visit our website and then contact me as soon as possible. We have been directed to enforce the mandate. If students come to school Monday without a mask we will be contacting that student's parent to ensure understanding and provide a mask to your child should you wish for them to stay at school.
As you know, this is not a school or a district mandate, it was a County decision. We were not asked for our opinion, we were given a directive. As a parent of students at Providence Hall, please know that I understand the range of emotions and opinions surrounding both the wearing of masks and mandates from various levels of government. In many cases I empathize with you. I respect civil action initiatives and support each citizen's efforts to affect change. It is, however, important to be thoughtful and selective in how we choose to act and react. With the rare exception of a few of our students with medical conditions or other diagnoses, we can comply with this temporary directive for 19 school days and then make the choice to remove or keep wearing a mask on February 7th.
Sincerely,
Michael Fry, Principal
Update to Quarantine Process
"Well Mr. Fry, all students have to wear a mask at this point". Yes, that is true, which makes it a little less complicated through February 7th, I suppose.
Please contact our Nurse, Ms. Staci Brown with questions.

Morning Routine at PHES
When you drop your student off please be mindful of students entering from various directions, towards the kindergarten gate. Often times it is not yet light out and it can be difficult to see children. Please drive slowly, and be careful when changing lanes. If you are dropping off your child directly in front of the kindergarten gate please pull forward as far as possible so that other cars can file in behind you, and try to exit immediately after your child is through the gate.
Once your student arrives they can eat breakfast in the cafeteria or, weather permitting, they can play on the playground. At 7:40 students should either be on the playground or in their classroom. Teachers have several activities for them to choose from. This is an important time for students to prepare themselves for a day of learning, depending upon when they arrive at school.
We wanted you to be aware of this morning schedule so that, depending upon when you drop your student off, you will know what they will be doing.
