LifePlay Summer Camp
Express Yourself! Better Yourself!
Growing hearts, minds, and bodies
Art is a pathway to learning in the small-group theatre camp we are offering this summer. Join us to create a play and deliver a powerful message to an audience - what would you want the world to know?
Theatre Camp
ALL-day Camp (8am - 4pm)
ages 6-13
$250
What message do you have to share?
Campers will learn valuable theatre lessons, develop greater self-awareness, and play active, creative games to support social growth.
In this fun, innovative camp, campers will delve into the various aspects of theatre and live theatrical performance. Students will explore acting, musical theatre, costuming, staging, set design, and more.
Theatre is the perfect avenue for learning more about yourself and the world around you, developing empathy, and discovering personal value. Campers will hone their skills by collaborating and experiencing the creative process. Families and friends are invited to attend our original production on the last day of camp!
Create and play with director Nicole Cantalupo:
Since Nicole was a child, performing arts and arts education has been a huge influence in her personal, and now, professional life. Nicole is a native to the great city of San Diego, and throughout her life has immersed herself in many facets of the community. She is proud to call herself a Girl Scout, as she dedicated 13 years of her life to the cultivating organization. Following her passion for directing, Nicole graduated from San Diego State University with a BA in Theatre Arts. In the commencement of her professional career, Nicole found herself involved with multiple local theatre education programs within San Diego, including the renowned La Jolla Playhouse. For several years, she has been inspired by her theatrical experiences and has a strong desire to share that with the youth in her community. With LifePlay, Nicole is determined to empower children, teens, and adults through arts education. It is her strong conviction that, through play, you can enhance your own sense of self, build character, and create and foster meaningful relationships. As an avid proponent of art education, as well as having been so personally inspired by theatre, she truly believes that this type of restorative play establishes a necessary balance for life.
