From the Principal

Dear Sunflower Families,

I wanted to let you know that it is that time of year where we are getting ready to ramp up for our annual enrollment. The directions will be coming soon from our USD497 communication department. They will use the email you have on file in Powerschool. You may want to check to make sure you have the correct email set up in your Powerschool profile so you don't miss this important information.

5th grade parents, make sure to have your child respond to the 5th grade memory book survey linked here as soon as possible. More information about our 5th grade recognition plans will be coming soon!

Let's have some fun in honor of National Kindergarten Day yesterday! Can you identify the 37 Sunflower staff members in these pictures? Play our Kahoot Challenge to find out! You have until noon on Friday to play. You must correctly spell their first and last name (not Mr., Miss, Ms. or Mrs.). You can find a staff list with names on our website. Access the game here. Good luck!

Finally, today is Administrative Assistant Appreciation Day and I just want to shout out the two superheroes that make our school run so smoothly! I appreciate them so much. If you are so inclined feel free to send them an email of appreciation, and Thank you both for all you do to support our staff, families and scholars!

As always it is an honor to serve as the principal of Sunflower Elementary.
