DISEASES AND ANIMALS OF A TRENCH
There were many disgusting diseases and animals in WW1. There were animals like lice, so many flies, and rats. The world lost over a million lives in the first five months because of diseases caused by these animals. the trenches are wet and cold. some of the trenches did not even have dug outs or duck boards. the soldiers stood in the water for months cause things to get all over their feet. this caused trench foot. the soldiers had to rub each others feet with grease.

PARTS OF A TRENCH
Because of the lack of trees a trench is an 8ft hole dug into the ground. A trench is made
up of Barbed wire, sandbags, pharphit, fire step, duckboards and parados. Trenches were used in the great war. They were used because to stop the Germans you would need to put a long barrier in their way. Trenches were also used in France in WW1.
