reflection on inequalities

I have learned to put my knowledge from unit 2 and used it for solving inequalities . Although it was the same as solving one step, two step , and multistep, the answers came out differently. the process was the same the answers varied. so I had to remember to always put down my comparing signs.
how can i write inequalities
How can I write an inequality? well that is a great question, writing inequality's is easier than you think. you write inequalities as a variable comparing a number. example 1:I have an unknown number of apples and I want to spend less than 1 dollar. so you have to pick any letter , so x. then you get a less than sign<. so I compare the last part ,1 . so we put it together and get x<1.
how can i solve an inequality
how can I solve an inequality? say that there is a unknown amount of cookies and each cost .50 cents, but you only have 4 dollars. so how many cookies can I get without spending over 4 dollars. so I have to find out the amount of cookies that will cost .50 cents. so I set up the problem as .50x _< 4. because I know to put the line because without spending over , so I put an equal .5ox_<4 and so I know this is a multiplication problem and I do the inverse . so do division and you get 8. you would set the problem up as x_< 8.
how can i graph an inequality
How can I graph an inequality? well we find our number that we have for example, c> 5. we would put 5 down on the number line than since the problem reads as c is greater than 5. so i would go to the right because c will be greater. it will be an open circle because it will not be equal to.
i have learned that there are many ways to deal with inequalities. even that when u have a negative variable , you have to divide by a negative 1 and flip the sign. the process is always the same but the answers will always vary.
