Galatas Fall Fundraiser!
This year Galatas is partnering with Fun Run Time for the Fall Fundraiser. Our goal is to raise $45,000, which will go toward tutoring, instructional materials and supplies, technology and educational enrichment.
Our Fall Fundraiser kicked off today with a student pep-rally! From Friday, October 18 through Wednesday, October 30 students will be raising money that will go to improving our students’ education.
You should have received an email from Galatas PTO this week with your child’s donation page. Support Galatas Elementary by:
**Making your donation TODAY!
**Sharing your child’s donation page with family and friends through email, Facebook, or text using the icons on the donation page.
**Sending spare change to school. Classes that fill up their change jar by October 30, will earn 30 minutes of EXTRA RECESS!
Plan to join us at Cattail Park on Wednesday, October 30, during your child’s PE time as we celebrate the Fall Fundraiser with a Pumpkin Patch Dash!
If you have any questions, please contact Emily Holtgrieve and Kimberly White at galatasfallfundraiser@gmail.com.
YEARBOOK COVER CONTEST
Students will have a chance to help us create the cover of this year’s Galatas yearbook! The theme this year will be “U.S.S. Springetti”! Some ideas could include ocean voyage, sea and undersea adventures, cruise ships, marine life, beaches, islands, etc...
Guidelines:
**Entries should be original student artwork, and may be done with marker, pastels, paint,
watercolors, etc…
**Maximum size should be 8.5”X11” and must be a portrait (vertical) layout.
**Artwork should feature a Greyhound!
**Artist’s name and section number should be on the back of the artwork.
**No need to include our school name or the year...those will be printed on the yearbook by the publisher.
**All submissions must be received by Friday, November 1.
