SMS Veterans Assembly November 10-- Your Photos are Needed!
The Leadership class is planning a virtual assembly to honor our Veterans on November 10th at 9:00 AM. They will be putting a slideshow together in honor of those who so courageously served, or currently are serving, our country.
If you have a family member or loved one who served or is currently serving in the military, please send a picture of him/her to msutton@cvsd.org by Monday, November 2. We would love to have photos of both then and now, if you have them!
Along with the photo(s) please provide:
Veteran’s full name, Rank, Branch of Military
Your name and relation to the veteran (i.e. Father, Grandmother, etc.).
In honor of Veterans Day, there will not be classes on November 11th.

Reminder to Set Your Clocks Back
Before you go to bed on Halloween night, which is Saturday, October 31, remember to set your clocks backward one hour! (Spring forward, fall back.)
We are back on our regular bell schedule starting Monday.
Christmas Bureau Applications Open Now through November 6
This Holiday Season will be quite different for Christmas Bureau support. Folks will have to register via the following link and must have that done by November 6th. Please share far and wide so as many folks as possible will have some Holiday Joy in this very difficult year. https://www.cceasternwa.org/christmas-bureau
Holiday Assistance Provided by the Christmas Bureau:
Grocery Voucher: All approved families and individuals will receive a grocery voucher anywhere from $15-$30 dollars depending on the size of your home/family unit. You must have a valid photo ID to use the grocery voucher at participating grocery stores.
For 1 person in the home you will receive $15
For 2 people in the home you will receive $20
For 3 people in the home you will receive $25
For 4 or more people in the home you will receive $30
Books: For approved children in the home ages 14 and younger you will receive one book. The application will ask some questions about your child’s reading style and interests.
Toys: For approved children in the home ages 17 and younger you will receive one toy. You will need to review our toy catalog found (here) to select your top three choices for each child. You will then input those choices in the application.
