Hello San Altos Families
We are so excited to share our San Altos mission and vision with you. We have been in the process of creating our statements over the past year and a half and it has taken a lot of collaboration and revisions to get here. We have included students in the process as we asked them what they value most about school and what they want to see in the future. We are proud of these statements and feel that they represent what we are trying to achieve here at San Altos. We will continue to reference these statements in all of the work that we do, from teacher collaboration meetings to School Site Council meetings. These are the drivers for our work and they will help to keep our work on a pathway that leads to student success and achievement.
Additionally, we are also in the process of revising and finalizing our student attributes. These attributes will also be at the core of how we work with students and they will be part of our regular classroom and school routines. As we continue to create and build our norms, we hope that you will start to notice their impacts at home. Specifically, how your student uses their language and skills to problem solve in different situations and the steps they use to work through a problem.
Mission
At San Altos, we lead with love and understanding. Together we advocate, celebrate, and empower our students and community in pursuit of their fullest potential through academic support, character development, and culturally responsive practices.
