St. Louis Cards vs North Decatur--2/8/18
Last Thursday night the 7th and 8th grade St. Louis Lady Cards hosted the North Decatur Chargers. While unable to pull away a win, they were two very good games.
The 7th grade Lady Cards had a final score of 17-36. At the half we pulled back from 6-11 to 11-13. We got in a bit of foul trouble leading us to have to play more cautious the second half which in return drew their lead from us. The Lady Cards hustled and worked very hard. Scoring for the Lady Cards were Megan Bauer with 8pts, Ella Smith with 6pts, and Megan Raab with 3pts. Summer Ratcliffe, Anna Wanstrath, and Alys Cochran were doing a great job hustling for the ball to get a steal or rebound. Nice job ladies.
The 8th grade Lady Cards had a final score of 21-22. This was such a great game to watch and coach. While we may not have come out with the win, there were many things that led up to the final score. Scoring for SLS were Emma Weberding with 8pts, Ava Allen with 6pts, Kate Voegele with 4pts, Aylssa Wanstrath with 2pts, and Lilly Wonnell with 1pts. We did a great job of shooting free throws and hustling. We did a great job pressing, breaking a press, and running our defense and offense. Heads held high because a lot was done right but out of our control.

SLS girls 7th and 8th at Milan 2/13/18
Last night the St. Louis Lady Cardinals traveled to Milan and brought home a split outcome. Two very good games.
The 7th grade Lady Cards had a final score of 15-21. We ended the half 11-10. This was our first game of trying a press out and they did a great job with it. Overall they had a great game by all and looked as one out there on the court. Scoring for SLS were Ella Smith with 8pts, Megan Bauer with 5pts, and Alys Cochran with 2pts. Nice job ladies.
The 8th grade Lady Cards brought home the win with a final score of 38-16. We had an amazing game with our press also. The girls hustled the whole game which lead to the reward of a W. Scoring for SLS were Ava Allen with 14pts, Emma Weberding with 10pts, Lilly Wonnell with 7pts, Kate Voegele with 3pts, and both Olivia Raab and Alyssa Wanstrath with 2pts each. All the girls contributed to the points tonight so offensively we were on point too. Nice job ladies.
