In suites at common law, where the value in controversy shall exceed twenty dollars, the right by jury shall be preserved and no fact tried by a jury, shall be otherwise re-examined in any court of the united states, than according to the rules of the common law.

Supreme court case
In the supreme court case Tull vs united states 1987 they are challenging the 7th amendment. The district court denied tulls motion for a jury trail and entered judgment for 325,000 dollars. The court appeals affirmed the denial of a jury trail and the supreme court granted cert.
