Monday 9-23
- Cross Country will be dismissing at 1:30 today. The bus will leave at 1:45
Tuesday
- Emma Sweet, a representative with Vocational Rehabilitation, will be here today from 11:37am-3:00pm. All seniors must meet in the middle school gym during ATLAS.
- Community Blood Drive in the HS Gym until 2 p.m.
- Constitution Project! You will be meeting immediately after school today in Mrs. Sprouse's room. Please bring your permission slips for the Jefferson City Trip.
Wednesday
- Art Club will meet Tues. September 24th, in the art room from 3:15-4:30.
- BETA Club meeting has been moved to FRIDAY at 7:30 am in the vocational building. We will be collecting dues ($25 first time members and freshmen, $10 returning members), voting on officers, and finalizing plans for fundraisers. If you did not attend this week's meeting, but want to be a member, please respond with your cell phone number as we will be setting up a Remind group text soon.
Thursday
- It's Picture Day! All students will be taking their pictures today during your English Class. If you will be checking out before you have English, please make arrangements with your teacher to have your picture taken before then. It is required that all students have their picture taken, even if you are not planning to purchase pictures at this time.
- Chromebook Insurance Payments are no longer being accepted. If you did not pay for your insurance, it will be removed from your account and any damages will be your responsibility.
- Community Betterment Planning Committee will meet in the downstairs conference room for lunch.
- ACT prep sessions will start today after school from 3:15pm-4:30pm. Any student who signed up will need to bring a 1" binder with them for materials. ACT prep sessions will be every Thursday from 3:15pm-4:30pm until Oct. 24th.
Friday
- Tutor logs are due today.
- Required mandatory meeting for any student enrolled in Supervised Internship (working off campus during the day) 8th hour, Friday, September 20 in the library. Any questions see Mrs. Gale or Dr. Copley. Everyone is expected to attend.

- Cadets & Tutors: If you cadet or tutor at the Elementary please make sure you are using the main entrance only to enter and exit the building. Please let Ms. Adams know if you have any questions.
- SOAR HRA for those who have been identified will now be Wednesday, Sept. 25th. Permission forms can be turned into the library or office up until Sept. 20th.
- Juniors be sure to check your e-mail for important messages and Prom votes.
Students don't forget if you have awesome pictures of you and your friends to get them to Mrs. Adey. You can download the REPLAY IT APP on your phone, or parents phone and drop them there under Houston High School.
Don't forget to be buying your Yearbook before Oct. 25th to get the four free icons with the purchase of a name personalization. This won't last long, so get those forms turned in! Your High School English teachers should have these forms, or you can order online!

ACT
Testing Date: October 26
Registration Deadline: September 20
**Late Registration: October 4
In order for Houston High School to be a testing site for the ACT there must be at least 16 people to register for the testing date.

- 10am-10:30am surrounding Texas County high school students from other area schools.
Parents are encouraged to attend this event. If you have any questions please contact the high school guidance office.
