Veterans Day
Every November our Cowlishaw Community joins together to honor our Veterans. Similar to last year, we will honor our Veterans in a virtual format this November. We will be creating a virtual assembly for teachers to share with their students for Veterans Day.
We need your help. If you or a relative (aunt, uncle, grandparent, close family friend) served in the military, we would like to recognize them. To be recognized in our virtual assembly, please send the following information to Sarah Maldonado sarah_maldonado@ipsd.org by Ocotober 29th for inclusion. Thank you!

End of Quarter-Report Cards
It's hard to believe the end of first quarter is here and it's report card time. This is a great time to review your child's progress, celebrate successes, and talk about areas of growth.
Beginning October 29 at 4:00 p.m., you can view your child's elementary school report card through ParentVUE. We will share directions on how to access the report card when it becomes available.
Please contact your child's teacher with any questions or concerns at report card time and throughout the school year.
Our staff look forward to talking with you at the upcoming parent/teacher conferences on November 18 (in-person) and 22 (remote). Sign up information will be shared soon.

aimswebPlus Assessment Results
Cowlishaw Birthday Book Club Is Back!!!
ARE YOU LOOKING FOR A FUN WAY TO HONOR YOUR CHILD’S BIRTHDAY?
Cowlishaw’s LMC has the answer! Donating a book to Cowlishaw’s LMC helps to build our library collection and make your child feel special at the same time.
At some time during the month of your child’s birthday, we will invite your child to come down to the LMC and choose a book from the birthday cart. If your child’s birthday is in June, July or August, we will invite him or her to come down to the LMC during the month of his or her half birthday. There will be a flat $10.00 price for each book.
When your child chooses a book, we take his/her picture to put in the front of the book with a bookplate commemorating the donation. Your child’s name will go up on the Birthday Book Club bulletin board in the LMC, and your child will be the first to check out the book he/she chose! What an opportunity!
The registration for Cowlishaw’s Birthday Book club can be found in the PushCoin Webstore.
Please see the document below if you need help with accessing the Webstore:

Thank you for considering this program!
It’s a great way for your child to feel special and to support the Cowlishaw LMC at the same time.
Boundary Committee
The community is invited to observe all boundary committee meetings. There will also be an opportunity for community members to view concepts and provide feedback before the final proposals are created and presented to the board of education. The community’s feedback will be incorporated into the final proposals that will be presented to the board of education for approval.
Community forums will be held at our three high schools on the following dates.
Monday, November 8 at 7 pm - Waubonsie Valley High School
Tuesday, November 9 at 7 pm - Neuqua Valley High School
Wednesday, November 10 at 7 pm - Metea Valley High School

The dashboard includes all positive cases of COVID-19 reported to District 204 for individuals who were on campus. The information is updated each Monday by 4 pm. If your child is in close contact with someone who tested positive, a member of the COVID-19 Response Team will notify you directly regarding the need to quarantine as a precaution.
