Those leprechauns are just far too sneaky. But he did leave some gold!

Looks delicious!
Mrs. Pappas' third-grade class from Perry L. Drew Elementary School played the recorder in music class. Students are playing the theme from the 1960's tv series of Batman. This fits in with our school theme "Superheroes Are At Drew."
Egg-citing things are happening in the PLD Library! This week, students candled our eggs and were able to see the developing chicks inside!
Ethel McKnight Elementary School Students have been working hard on their puzzle building skills during cooperative play time.
Project Green worked double time this week! KubePak was kind enough to donate hundreds of plugs of jacob’s ladder and black eyed susans. Students got straight to work transplanting them so that they can spread their legs before we plant them outside in spring.
Congratulations to Rams basketball players Robert, Abby, and Kyla for All CVC recognition!
The Hightstown High School Ski Club went to Gore Mountain in upstate NY this past weekend. Boarders and skiers were treated to some fresh snowfall on Saturday morning which made for some great conditions over the two days on the mountain. Everyone had a great time!
The Coders' Union Club is a brand new club at Hightstown High School. With technology becoming incorporated in almost all fields and the rise of artificial intelligence, learning about computer science will soon become an essential skill for everyone.
In the Coders' Union Club, we have started with two main groups. We offer peer tutoring in all computer languages that are taught at Hightstown High School. Students who want to learn how to code can start with our introductory programming language Visual Basic, and others who want to prepare for their next year at Hightstown High school can study Java or C++.
We have also been working with students to learn Pygame which is a platform for students to design games using the python computer language. Students will learn how to code their first game together, and then will eventually be able to create their own projects. This serves as a fun way for students to become involved with computer science, and learn how to code.
We also try to discuss important current events with technology and computer science and challenge students with various puzzles and activities. Lastly, we are working to develop a hackathon for the end of the school year. This will be an event where a student will be given a prompt and will have to use code to solve the problem.
