Dear Cowboy Community,
It was a great first week at GHS! Welcome back to our students. Thanks to our LINK Leaders and their sponsors, Ms. Brown and Mr. Rush, for welcoming the Class of 2027 to GHS! Thanks, too, to Ms. Wise, for sponsoring the Class of 2024's Senior Sunrise at Cowboy Memorial Stadium.
It was another great athletics weekend, as our Mountain Biking team took 3rd overall in their first race in Frisco. Volleyball and Football both won on Friday night, with the ladies defeating Aspen 3 sets to 1, and Football won their home opener against the Skiers 35-20. On Saturday, Soccer notched another win, defeating Colorado Christian 6-0, and Softball split games over the weekend, defeating Rocky Ford Saturday.
This weekend, you can catch home matches for Volleyball with games at 8am, 9am, 11am, and 1pm at GHS. Soccer will be at Cowboy Memorial Stadium on Saturday, with an 11am Varsity kickoff. Catch Football on NFHS Friday Night, or travel south for a 7pm matchup against the Mean Moose in Alamosa. Golf is home at Dos Rios on Tuesday, the 5th. Be sure to check the schedule below for all athletics competitions.
Remember, there is NO SCHOOL on Monday, September 4th in observance of Labor Day. Enjoy a three day weekend!
Picture Day is September 12
