Sacramento PRAYS

Uniting people to pray in the Greater Sacramento Region.

“There is one body and one Spirit, just as also you were called in one hope of your calling; one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all who is over all and through all and in all.” - Ephesians 4:4-6

The Meaning of War Room

The world stood up and took notice over the Labor Day weekend as War Room surpassed Straight Outta Compton for first place in the box office – hear a secular report of this surprising news here -

What are we to make of this? Well, we are all prayer warriors, so we rejoice. But, there is something more going on as we plunge into this month of September. Spiritual realities are colliding in the heavenly places and are manifesting themselves on earth. Think about this – the War Room movie and Straight Outta Compton are depictions of two very different realities in the African American community. One showing heaven invading earth for change and one showing earth in its real and painful state without Christ. We live in this world. We are called to intercede for it and for all who dwell on the earth. Hear and receive again the word of the Lord from Romans 13:8-12 (emphasis mine)

“Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another, for whoever loves others has fulfilled the law. The commandments, “You shall not commit adultery,” “You shall not murder,” “You shall not steal,” “You shall not covet,” and whatever other command there may be, are summed up in this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.” Love does no harm to a neighbor. Therefore love is the fulfillment of the law. And do this, understanding the present time: The hour has already come for you to wake up from your slumber, because our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed. The night is nearly over; the day is almost here. So let us put aside the deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light.”

Do this! What is “this”? Love your neighbor! Please love your neighbor this week by praying for them. Have you yet asked your neighbor how you can pray for them? You are the one who can call upon the name of the Lord! Look for God to show up in marvelous ways to show that person His love. Love is also action. We pray looking for God’s miraculous intervention – and sometimes he uses us to do it in practical ways! DO something as prompted by the Holy Spirit to love your neighbor. Get in that War Room and fight for your neighbor, then go outside your front door to your street and win the battle for your neighborhood.

Worship, Prayer and Healing

We are experiencing unity within the leadership of the body of Christ in this region. God has knit our hearts together as brothers and sisters and we continue to press into Him and seek His will for the whole Sacramento region. The vision for this night of unified worship, prayer and healing is another way to come together and give glory to God as an entire body. We also rejoice at the power and love the Holy Spirit continues to demonstrate across the region in the arenas of healing. We are seeing an outpouring of favor and blessing like we have not seen before. Several hundred healings of all types including stage 4 cancer, hepatitis, migraines, knee, shoulder and back pain, depression and more have occurred over the past year as we pray in the name of Jesus Christ. All Glory to God our Father for His marvelous healing love!
