Many Hands, One Mason!
December 9, 2018
Dear Mason Families,
Special thanks to everyone who came out to Merry Morning at Mason this weekend! It was a wonderful time had by all. It was wonderful to see our community come together and spread holiday cheer. Special thanks to our wonderful PTO for creating this wonderful experience for all to enjoy. All your work behind the scenes doesn't go unnoticed.
Please consider bringing a new toy or book to Mason for our Children's Hospital Toy Drive that starts Monday. Students are also encouraged to make a Positive Vibes card for the children in the hospital that won't be able to make it home for the holidays. At Mason, we love to give our students opportunities to be Leaders, Learners and Kind; this is an opportunity for all our students to make a difference! Let's see how many toys, books and Positive Vibes cards we can collect from now until Dec. 19th! It would be awesome to have 100 percent participation when it comes to making cards for the youth in Children's Hospital! Thank for making a difference! Please click on the link below for more information and directions on how you can help!

Thanks you for all your support and kindness,
Roy Bishop, Jr.

December PBIS Focus: Arrival and Departure
We are really striving to cut down on our tardies at Mason. Please be sure your child is doing their best to be on time and walk into the building by themselves. If your child comes in late, please make sure they check into the office so we can walk them to their classroom.
After school, students are reminded to find their family or walk home right after school for safety reasons. If you are playing on the playground after school, you must have a parent present at all times.
December Leader In Me Focus
Habit 4: Think Win-WIn
Think Win-Win is the belief that everyone can win. It’s not you or me, it’s both of us. It’s a belief that there are enough good things for everyone. It’s being able to be happy when good things happen to other people.

Never Give Up
Encourage Others
Do Your Best
And here’s the fun part! We will be selling special NED yo-yos before NED visits. An order form is going home with each Mason student. Look for the flier coming from your teacher. Order forms with payment (checks made payable to Mason School) can be turned in to the office from December 3-14.
Lily's 2nd Annual Snowpile Fundraiser - Toy Drive
Brrrr.......It's getting cold outside!
Mason students go outdoors for recess every day throughout the school year, unless it's raining hard or the windchill is below zero degrees Fahrenheit. Please be sure that your child leaves for school dressed properly for the weather.
Please dress your child with a hat and gloves and a winter coat when the weather is frigid. We also ask that you write your child's name on his or her gloves, hats, boots and coat. Our Lost and Found fills up quickly!
