Happy Thursday Connect Academy Families,
From our team to your home, we hope this email finds you healthy and well. We are so excited to partner with you, our learners and our community to create a world class learning experience for each and every child! We are making history in PUSD as we embark on our founding year of Connect Academy. We are student-centered and future-focused!
The 2021-22 school year is upon us. Below are important dates to note as we prepare for a smooth opening.

Connect Academy Website address is live! We are working to ensure this will be a hub of information for our community!
Please note potential moves out of Connect Academy- If there comes a time when you wish to leave Connect Academy and return to a brick and mortar school site, it will be based on seat availability at your school of residence. If your school of residence does not have an open seat in the respective grade level you will be placed at another PUSD site with seat availability.

Saturday, August 14th, K-8 DEVICE Distribution:
Connect Academy’s device distribution will be at the PUSD District Office Community Room, 15250 Avenue of Science, San Diego, CA 92128. Please see the assigned last name alphabet split below for the distribution.
A-F- 9-9:45 am
G-L- 9:45-10:30 am
M-R- 10:30-11:15 am
R-Z- 11:15-12 pm
*If the time slot above does not work for your family for this Saturday, please come at a time between 9 a.m. and noon.
**Please NOTE 6th-8th Grade Families:
During the distribution process we will need your learner to complete the following steps before you leave the PUSD district office on Saturday:
After the laptop has powered up, you will be prompted by a login screen.
Please log on with your PUSD student account credentials.
If you are unable to log on for any reason, we will have staff available to support.
We look forward to seeing you on Saturday! Since we will be inside, please plan to wear a mask.
Attention Kindergarten Families: Please plan pick up your child’s materials via drive thru on Tuesday, August 17th at 8-9am at Connect Academy located at Park Village Elementary School
Tuesday, August 17th- K-8 will receive their classroom teacher assignments and middle school schedules.
Tuesday, August 17th- Back to School Family Connection (Back to School Night) via Zoom. Tentative Time schedule below. *Times Subject to change*
K-2 5:30 PM
3-5-6 pm
6-8th: 6:30
Wednesday, August 18th, 8:30 am - 1st day of school
Friday, August 27th- Materials pick up be grade level
Older siblings materials will be with the young sibling
