The lie detector is a machine that measures blood pressure, heart rate, stress levels and breathing patterns of a person to see if they are lying.
Symbolism in The Great Gatsby
In the Great Gatsby, when Myrtle leaves for a rendezvous with Tom, she lies to Wilson and tells him that she is going to visit her sister in New York. Wilson thinks that Myrtle's life is just him and his garage, but she actually has another life with Tom. She lies to him about what she is really up to.
"Wilson? He thinks she goes to see her sitter in New York. He's so dumb he doesn't know he's alive." (Fitzgerald, 26)
Who would use this product?
Wilson could have used it on Myrtle to find up what she was up to. He could have also used it after Myrtle's death to investigate and find who killed his wife/who his wife cheated on him with.
