From the Teacher's Pen
So much was packed into this week of fun. We sang with Mr. Ric Zassenhaus, received a visit and surprise from St. Nick, cheered on the competitors in the robotics competition, celebrated Mass of the Immaculate Conception, and waited with bated breath for snow.
Bridge Building
Student work crews built bridges this week. As a part of this STEM lesson, students needed to develop a plan, purchase supplies, and manage a budget to build a beam bridge with trusses. The bridges are looking fairly stable. They will need to be structurally sound enough for a vehicle to be able to cross over. We will also do a test to determine how much force the bridge will support. Toothpicks are everywhere!
