Winter Dance Performance

On Friday December 10th, we will be having our first 8th grade dance showcase at the Mooresville High School Performing Arts Center. The show will start at 6pm. All 8th grade students who are currently in a dance elective or homeroom will be performing the choreography they have learned over the course of the semester.


We are also looking for parent volunteers to assist with our performance. Volunteers are asked to meet us at the high school at 2pm on Friday December 10th. Please contact carlythompson@mgsd.k12.nc.us if you are interested in volunteering.

MMS Band & Chorus Concert

The MMS Band & Chorus will host our winter concert on Thursday, December 9th at 6pm. The concert will be held at the Mooresville High School Preforming Arts Center. Hope to see you there!

Virtual MMS

The VMMS asynchronous day for December 15th has been moved to Friday, December 17th. VMMS students who have not received ISS during the 2nd Quarter are invited to come to MMS from 7:30 to 2:30 to participate in the Santa Pull and PBIS activities. More details will be sent out next week.


For the second semester, VMMS students will have a change in their electives. This will start on January 5th. Students will receive their second semester schedules via email the week of December 13th. Please be on the lookout for this.


The VMMS teachers would like to recognize two students for their hard work and showing the Heart of a Red Imp for the week of November 29-December 3.

Minutes from PTSO Meeting

Here are the minutes from the November PTSO. Our next PTSO meeting is scheduled for Wednesday,January 12th at 8am. We will send out the virtual link to the meeting the night before. We hope to see you at the meeting!

MAWI Lessons

During one class session the week of December 6th, the MMS Social Studies department will facilitate the following MAWI lessons:

7th Grade: MAWI Lesson #8- See the Risk

8th Grade: MAWI Lesson #8- Changing Friendships


MMS is using the MAWI program to facilitate social and emotional lessons that are designed to help students build life-long coping skills.

Quarantine Content Support Schedule

Mooresville Middle School has created a Quarantine Content Support Schedule to assist students who have been quarantined for an extended period of time. You can view the schedule here. Our teachers are offering 1-3 sessions of virtual tutoring each week to help your students stay on top of their work. If you have any questions, please feel to reach out to the school or your child’s teachers. Thanks!
