Gratitude Challenge

Research has found that practicing gratitude has been linked to better mental and physical health and is associated with greater happiness. Gratitude helps people feel more positive emotions, relish good experiences, have enhanced empathy, reduce aggression, improve self-esteem, and increase mental strength. Keeping a daily gratitude journal is an increasingly popular personal practice that is easy to implement at any time. We all have the ability and opportunity to cultivate gratitude. Developing an "attitude of gratitude" is one of the simplest ways to improve your satisfaction with life.

Students, you can join our 21-day gratitude challenge! (Jan. 9-29)

1. Every day, write down 3 things you're grateful for. They can be simple, but challenge yourself to find new things every day.

2. Review the list from the day before. And at the end of the week, read them all. It's guaranteed to make you think of your week differently.

3. Repeat daily for 21 days.

4. Share what you’re grateful for with your friends and family. It will brighten their day too!

To register, please fill out the form below. If you complete the challenge, you will be entered into a drawing for prizes! :)

Presentations:

Butler- January 9th during the last half of RAMP and WSU Tech- January 16 during the last half of RAMP. Both in the auditorium.

Juniors:

This is the time to start making college contacts and going on college visits. One easy way to make contacts is to sign up for the college representative visits at ACHS. It will be updated as representatives contact us. Junior Days on the college campuses are also highly beneficial. Please use this link to sign up for any schools that interest you! The page is located on the ACHS Counselor website under College and Career Visits.

Enrollment is Near

We will start the enrollment process next month already! The counselors plan to sit down with all juniors and talk about their future plans and enrollment options during January, prior to enrollment. Then during enrollment we will talk to all 9th and 10th graders.
