Principal's Message
March Madness is a common phrase used to describe the NCAA basketball tournament that so many enjoy watching this time of year. For high schools, it is also the time we begin to look ahead to the upcoming year and begin the scheduling process.
For the next three weeks 9th - 11th grade students will be choosing what classes they would like to take next year. We want to have students take classes they are interested in, that help them attain a diploma and that prepare them for a successful transition after graduation. Students may choose to either attend a two-year or four-year college, join the military, go directly to the workforce, participate in an apprenticeship or attend a tech school. Whatever it is, we want students to use their time wisely while enrolled at MHS.
Below is some additional information about scheduling that may be helpful for you to have including a dual credit meeting (Running Start, AP, College in the High School and NCTA) taking place this week.
As always, if you have any further questions please reach out by phone or email.
Stay safe. Stay healthy. Go Trojans!

Finding Hope Event
Trojan Wellness and Resources
Registration for 2021-22 is starting this week!
Students in their Homeroom classes will be starting the process on 3/8 by adding to their 4 Year Course Plan. We want to encourage students to choose elective classes that connect with their career interests from their High School and Beyond Plan.
In the coming weeks, they will receive the Registration form. When it arrives home we hope that you will have some great conversations around what classes they would like to request for next year. We do ask that a parent or guardian sign the Registration form so we know that you are aware of the requests that are made.
The following week, all of the students will be putting in their class requests into Skyward. Please encourage your kids to remember to put in 3 Alternate classes. It simply is impossible to give every student every request in scheduling! By putting in an alternate, we can try to give them something they would like to take.
Senior Presentation Panelists Needed!
Senior Presentation Practice
Dual Credit Meeting
Are you a 10th or 11th grader?
Did you know there are multiple ways to earn college credit while still in high school?
Most know about Running Start, but you can also earn credit through programs like College in the High School, Advanced Placement classes, and CTE Tech Prep. Students can also take classes through the Northwest Career and Technical Academy.
If you are considering Running Start it is extremely important you attend as there are several important things to consider and be aware.
There will be a zoom virtual meeting this Thursday night at 6pm to learn more. The link will be posted on the MHS website on Thursday.
Juniors!
Did you know there is a micro-scholarship for you? If you are interested in a private 4-yr. university, go to www.raise.me.
Fill out the required information and see what you might get. This is based on GPA, activities, class rigor (i.e., AP) and there is no "winner". Everyone who qualifies gets some financial help. It never hurts to start early!
Student Late Arrival and Early Pick Up
If you need to pick up your student early from school for an appointment or other reason, please call the MHS office at (360)398-8111. We will get your student for you, have them check out in the office, then send them out to your car.
Thank you for helping to keep our school safe!

RALF
RALF stands for Remote Attendance Learning Form and is required for all students to complete on their non-campus days. This would be the two days their cohort is assigned to be home and on Fridays.
Each teacher has a link to the RALF in their google classroom. We have also provided a link here to the google form. https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfTR8ZCRJJKcx4dr5OirHXt_MMjq-7DfyMeuwMeZYsgarna0A/viewform .
Students need to fill out the form for each class they are currently taking. The form needs to be filled out before noon each day to count as being present in classes. If not completed by noon, the student is marked absent for that class period. Students do not need to fill one out for Homeroom as that class is only offered in person.
REMINDER ABOUT ATTENDANCE
Being present in class is vital to be successful in school. We want to encourage all of our students to be at school every day! If you are missing school, you are missing out on learning!
