Prairie Point's Buddy Benches
“We show we care about everyone when we ask others to play.”
The Buddy Bench IS:
A very special place that reminds you to be your kindest selves.
A place to sit and decide what looks interesting to you to play on the playground.
A place to include people in your play and make new friends.
A place to say "YES!" to any friends who ask you to play.
The Buddy Bench is NOT:
A place to hang out and play with friends you already have.
A place where you say "NO!" to a friend who invites you to play.
A place where being mean or hurtful is OK.
A place where excluding others is OK.
Your recess teachers can help guide you toward an activity and can help to remind you and your friends of the Buddy Bench rules. Try the Buddy Bench first, then ask for help if you need it!

Teachers and staff have the opportunity to share good news about our students! This could be anything academic and beyond, especially the wonderful good character traits on display here at Prairie Point. We know that sometimes it's the little things that are really the big things and should be recognized. We appreciate the opportunity to call parents to share great news about their kids.
Panthers recognized are:
Josie Reiseck: "Josie is always thoughtful and thinking of others." -Mrs. Struve
Nolan Bauman: "Nolan is helpful at breakfast, cleaning up after others without being asked." -Mrs. Ziller
Olivia Blaszynski: "Olivia has been recognized several times for helping pick up garbage in the cafeteria without being asked because it was the right thing to do to help. Home Court Advantage in action!" -Mrs. Struve
Carson Rogers: "I am extremely proud of Carson's independence and success this year in 2nd grade!" -Mrs. Lund
Way to go Panthers! WE LIKE IT!
