No Place for Hate
No Place for Hate & Anti-Bias
This year, all Humble ISD schools will participate in anti-bullying and anti-bias activities, promoting a culture and climate of respect that has no place for hate! TMS is ready to establish a coalition of students, staff, and community members to plan and implement school-wide activities throughout the year that are designed to support social & emotional wellness. This focus helps to stand up against bigotry and hate by promoting respect for diversity and global citizenship!

TSIA2 SATURDAY ADMINISTRATION DATES
Humble ISD offers several ways for high school students to earn college credit. Your child can start taking advantage of these learning opportunities the summer after 8th grade. The first requirement is taking the TSIA2 exam (Texas Success Initial Assessment 2.0). This exam is a placement exam used to determine college readiness. Humble ISD will be administering the TSIA2 exam on the following dates and locations:
For the 2022-23 school year, the dates for Humble district TSIA2 Saturday administrations are:
- November 5, 2022 - Kingwood Park High School
- December 3, 2022 - Humble High School & Summer Creek High School
- January 28, 2023 - Sconzo Early College High School
- February 18, 2023 - Humble High School
- March 25, 2023 - Summer Creek High School
- April 15, 2023 - Atascocita High School
Students from the hosting campus will be allowed to register approximately two weeks prior to the administration, and students from the rest of the district will be allowed to register for any remaining spots about one week prior to the administration. To sign up use the Humble ISD TSIA2 Registration Form. The same form/link will be utilized for each administration. Once all available spots are filled, the form will be made inactive until registration begins for the following administration date.
Students take TSIA2 tests on a computer and results are provided immediately upon completion of the exam. For more information, you can visit the College Board website.

TMS Counselors will be working in Naviance with 6th, 7th and 8th graders this fall and into the spring to explore career interests and plan academics and electives for the 2023-2024 school year.
SECOND NINE WEEKS GUIDANCE LESSON: COLLEGE, CAREER & ENDORSEMENT EXPLORATION
During the second nine weeks, TMS counselors will be connecting personal responsibility through exploration of endorsements, colleges, careers, and military. (CCMR) Students will have dedicated time with their counselors to use Naviance to review their CCMR goal created during the first nine weeks. Students will then utilize various Naviance surveys to explore future opportunities in connection with their CCMR goal.
Mrs. Carter, 8th grade counselor, will facilitate a guidance lesson on high school endorsements with 8th graders through their social studies classes. During this "Endorsements 101" guidance lesson, students will not only learn more about high school endorsements, the students will then complete a survey to help select their own endorsement for high school.

TMS Backpack Buddy Program
Humble ISD has partnered with the Houston Food Bank to provide food for students in need. The Houston Food Bank’s Backpack Buddy program works by providing nutritious, child-friendly food for school children to take home over the weekend. Every Friday, at the end of school, the students will receive a sack full of nutritious food for the weekend. The food will be placed in a backpack so it looks like a regular school backpack.
Please contact your child's grade level counselor if you would like to apply for this program.
