SHISD Mid-Week Message
Weekly Superintendent's Message for Spring Hill ISD
Teachers are Back!
There are many sights and sounds that let you know school is about to start. This week has been so exciting watching the campuses and buildings come to life with the sound of school. Kids have returned from band camp and are back performing on the field. Football, volleyball, tennis, and cross country are back, getting ready for their seasons. Even the sounds of bulldozers moving dirt have filled the air this week. This week the high school is buzzing with families coming to register their children with the excitement of finding out who their teacher is and what other friends they might have in their classes.
This week also marked the return of teachers to Spring Hill after a break that was much too short. Teachers returned this week and will spend the next two weeks focusing on what matters most, our students. Our teachers and principals will be focused more than ever before on the mission of educating students. In Spring Hill, our mission is clear:
As the center of our community, Spring Hill ISD is committed to the fulfillment of each learner’s intellectual, creative and physical potential through the collaborative efforts of exceptional educators, dedicated parents and integrated rigorous instruction provided in a safe environment.
Our staff is very clear on this mission and it is taken seriously. If you need proof, drive by any campus late in the evening and on the weekends. Our teachers work many hours to prepare for this mission. They are tireless. They are fearless. They go above and beyond to make sure 2018-2019 is a great experience for your child. The teachers and staff of Spring Hill ISD give me inspiration everyday through their efforts. They inspire me with their dedication, their collaboration, and the impact they have on students and each other. There is no other group of educators I would rather work with together on this mission. It is going to be a great year! - Steve Snell, Superintendent
Kudos
- Kudos to Chenena Martin for having registration so organized and to Cathy Reed for organizing lunch for us each day and continuing to make every SH employee feel special and important ~ Leann Holder
- Kudos to all Panther staff who are working so hard to make sure early registration is a great experience for all of our Panther families.
Family Concerns
- Panther Family, please keep Becky Smith and her mother in your prayers. Her mother is experiencing difficulties from back surgery.
