Principal's Message
March is a great month for EHHS. Our winter sports teams are beginning state tournament competition and our students are preparing for the production of their performance of the Little Mermaid. I encourage everyone to take the time to come out and support our students.

School Counseling News
This week all AP students will be receiving their AP Bulletin for Students & Parents, discussing the upcoming exam schedule and pre-administration in April. The exam cost for each student is $47/exam. We are asking that they return the money and registration form by Thursday April 2nd.
Last Friday, all juniors received permission slips to the HK College Fair on Wednesday, April 22nd 2020. Please be sure that you return your signed HK College Fair Permission Slip and $5 by Thursday April 2nd.
Last Wednesday, the School Counseling Department hosted members of Middlesex Community College discussing the new PACT Program. Students and Parents that came heard all about how all of the Connecticut Community College will be tuition FREE starting in the fall of 2020!

Athletic Department News
The Cheerleading team competed in the CIAC State Championships on Saturday March 6th in New Haven. The team placed 7th in the Class S division. Their season has now concluded.
The varsity hockey co-op lost to Branford last Thursday in their conference tournament. They begin play in the CIAC Division 2 state tournament tonight against Farmington Valley at 7:00 pm at Avon Old Farms. Their season record is currently 8-13.
The Boys Varsity Basketball team begins play in the CIAC division 4 state tournament tomorrow, Tuesday March 10th, vs Northwestern at home at 6:00 pm. Their season record is currently 14-7.
The Girls Varsity Basketball team defeated Stafford in the second round of the CIAC Class S state tournament last Friday. They will play in the Quarter-Finals this Thursday, March 12th, vs Lyme-Old Lyme at home at a time TBD. Their current season record is 23-1.
