From the Desk of Principal Fears

Greetings Fugett Families,

April is National Autism Awareness Month. This month, we raise awareness for Autism and Asperger's syndrome. Autism is a complex brain disorder that often inhibits a person's ability to communicate, respond to surroundings, and form relationships with others. Please join FMS in raising awareness for Autism.

April is also Celebrate Diversity Month, a celebration that was initiated in 2004 to recognize and honor the diversity surrounding us all. By celebrating differences and similarities during this month, organizers hope that people will gain a deeper understanding of each other.

PA state testing begins this month with the English/Language Arts exam which takes place April 25 - 27. Please be sure to pay attention to the important details about PSSAs and Keystones below.

Please be aware that there is a shortage of referees and umpires that will likely impact sports at some point this Spring- both home and away. PIAA is allowing for “scrimmages” between teams if no official is available. When this happens please be patient and understanding if a fill-in referee or umpire (teacher or other adult) is helping out. We all would prefer a “scrimmage” over a cancelation.
