WMS Weekly Bulletin
August 6-10, 2018
There are a few important things to note about moving in:
1) You may park on any side of the building for unloading, however, please do not leave your vehicle parked in the fire lane for more than 10 minutes. The fire marshall can (and will) write tickets for parking in a fire lane.
2) We have a few black carts to help get items from place to place. The carts will be located in the main hall by the trophy case. Please return all carts to this location when you are finished using them so the next staffulty member can find one to use.
3) The elevator is operational, however, you must have a key to operate it. We only have one key currently, so you may want to plan a secondary route to your room (if upstairs).
4) As you begin to set up, you will likely notice things that need repair. Please fill out this HICCUP FORM to report these items so we can get our construction crew to help us out.
5) Remember that when you move into a new space, things will feel more chaotic before they start to feel in place. Pace yourself, stay calm, and know that we have built lots of time into the week of professional development for you to get everything just right.
I cannot wait to share this space with y'all and I'm looking forward to having your energy fill up the building!
Go Warhawks! And, remember, you belong here.

Professional Development Info & Expectations
In order to sign in and receive credit for professional development sessions, you must register in Eduphoria. The links are hyperlinked in the overview document (see link above).
Please note that when attending meetings in which you are representing WMS to other campuses, such as the Kickoff Rally, New Teacher University, and district subject area meetings, we wear professional attire. When we are together for in-house meetings, casual attire is fine. For YOU Matter, please wear school spirit gear if you choose to wear jeans.
**If you are missing staff development for any reason, please make sure you have emailed Mishler and submitted the absence in Aesop.
Keys
We will have your keys available for checkout beginning Monday, Aug. 6th. To avoid a rush of many people early Monday morning, we have created individual time slots in 10 min increments you may select from to pick up your keys. We hope that this results in not having to have staff wait around during this process.
You will need to have access to your CSISD e-mail to check out your keys - either on a phone or device, or we will have a laptop available you may use. If you are moving stuff in earlier than when picking up keys, we can also simply unlock your room at that time - you can still move in your boxes even if you haven't checked out your keys yet.
Click on THIS LINK to pick an appointment time you would like to stop by the office. Make sure to click to next week in your Google calendar to see the gray appointment slots. Also, Google calendar tends to work better on PC than on your phone or tablet.
If you have not picked up your keys by the end of the day Tuesday, we will have them ready when everybody comes to Kick-Off Day on Aug. 9th!
Questions? See Mr. Hackethorn.
Help! with Schedule Pick-Up
If you are available on Tuesday, August 7th or Wednesday, August 8th, please consider helping out from 8-noon. The station descriptions and needed number of people are listed in this document HERE. Please comment to sign up and link up with someone else who is on the form to get details.
Moving Boxes
EXCEPTION: If you requested boxes from CSISD, please break down and flatten them and stack them outside the "fishbowl" (teacher planning room) by the gym on the first floor.
SPED/504 Paperwork
Welcome to the SPED section. My name is Eileen Rieke and I am your SPED department head. I know that things are going to be hectic as the school year starts up; however, it is very important that you take the time to review the IEPs (especially the medication and accommodations page of the qualifying scholars in your classes before they arrive.
Complete documents are located in the GoogleCloud. Mr. Hackethorn has created these folders and will be sharing a video on how to find this information. Additional forms will also be sent to you for each scholar you work with. These forms will need to be completed and submitted right away. They are your and my documentation that you have reviewed the student’s file. Remember, you are required to review the documents and use the modifications/accommodations outlined in the IEP for each of your scholars. If you are not sure how to implement the above or if you have any questions about your scholars, please send me an email and I or another member of the SPED team will respond.
