Deciduous forest
What Is The Deciduous Forest
It is like a normal forest, but it's HUGE. It is very wet. It would be hard to make a fire so you have to be prepared for the worst.
Food and Water
For food there are plenty of animals like the white tailed deer or frogs. If you find a lake you can fish in it. You can also put some water in a pot and boil it for water. Another way to get water is to catch the rain.
Shelter
For shelter you can make a lean to or a te-pee. To make a lean to find to tree that split. Then take a log and lay it in between the splits in the log. Then lean small branches against the log across. After that lay leaves on it to make it waterproof. For a te-pee find branches that are long and skinny. Then lean them together in a cone shape. Then line the inside with rocks and you can put your fire inside.
Animals
There are a wide variety of animals. They range from frogs to deer, bears to turtles. Some can be bad and some can be helpful.
Producers
The producers can help you like an oak tree build shelter. They can also be bad like poison ivy. Overall plants give you air so be nice. :-)
Climate/weather
Temperate deciduous forests receive 30 - 60 inches of rain each year and are ranked second only to the rainforest as the rainiest biome. Although the average temperature is 50° F, the winter typically sees temperatures below freezing.
