Childhood, and Family.

Harriet Tubman was born into slavery along with the rest of her family. therefor Harriet Tubman's childhood was very dual and boring. Harriet and her family were treated terribly by there "owners". Because of this poor treatment Harriet suffered a cruel beating which resulted in a severe head injury when she was 12,at age 14 she and her 8 siblings were separated.


Harriet Tubman was born on a plantation located in Virginia, around 1820, or 1821 know one knows for Shure. Harriet Tubman died in 1913 after accomplishing an astounding 17 rescue missions to save slaves from cruel treatment.


Since Harriet Tubman was born into slavery, she had no education other than the fact she knew slavery was wrong.
