Thankful for You!!!
Note about Diwali
Below is a note from one of our parents...
"Tonight, Wilson Elementary taught my children something more valuable than any piece of academic information they could learn in the classroom. Tonight, my children learned the beauty of coming together with people whose backgrounds greatly differ from their own. Tonight, my children learned that the traditions that they value are not the only traditions of value. Tonight, my children learned the joy of embracing the heritage and experiences of others. In light of the issues we face today, these lessons are more valuable than ever and certainly do not go unnoticed."
Video Feedback Due- 12/4
Hey everyone! Just checking in concerning our video submissions! Remember, they are due December 4th! (see forwarded email below for more details.)
Something to think about: Consider recording a lesson that covers content you’ll want to review later in the year, edit/revise it, and use it as a review or parent piece throughout the year :).

Our Reflex Rep passed this along to use for the 3 weeks between Thanksgiving and Christmas Breaks...
The linked document allows learners to track their progress by documenting their starting fluency, tracking their Greenlight usage and finally by identifying their ending fluency.
Please let me know if you have questions or need support with Reflex.

PRE- K
As our state continues to increase efforts in teaching and learning with Pre-K via House Bill 4. We are working to increase and support parental involvement which is one of new requirements of the Bill.
Please feel free to share the VROOM app for brain building for early childhood with parents. It is a great resource and tool to empower parents with tips and tools in everyday life to support learning. It is available in English and Spanish for Pre-K Learners. http://www.joinvroom.org/
PBL in da House
Project Based Learning
Campuses utilizing the PBL design model as a part of UbD might be interested in a series of Google Hangouts brought to you by the Buck Institute. A recorded version of each Hangout will be available to those that miss them. This might be a opportunity for flex hours for staff members at PBL campuses
