Harrison Park Weekly Update

August 30, 2022

Welcome Back Bulldogs!

Welcome Back HP students and families!

We are extremely excited about the start of our 2022-2023 school year and the endless opportunities that await our school community. We look forward to a productive and committed school year as staff, families and our students continue our work together.

Below you will find dates and schedules for the opening of school. Starting on August 30th (1st-8th) and September 6th for Kindergarten.

We look forward to welcoming our new and returning families and hope that everyone can save the date for our Back to School Night on Thursday, September 15th from 5:30-7pm.

Communication and involvement is extremely important to us at Harrison Park. PLEASE be sure to check our school website at https://www.pps.net/Domain/122. As well as “Like” us on our Harrison Park K-8 Facebook page. All updates, current events and opportunities for you to get involved in our school community will be posted on these sites. Our Parent/Student handbook can also be found on the website.

Your child’s timely arrival at school is important so that instructional activities can begin promptly. Please see the location for your student to enter and exit the building:

K and K-1 Immersion = Main Doors

1st-3rd = Gym Doors

4th -5th = Main Doors

6th -8th = Back Doors (look for your grade level sign)

Bus Riders = Cafeteria

Please remember that school begins at 8:45am for 6-8 and 9am for K-5. Kindergarten is dismissed at 3:05 and 1st-8th grade students are released at 3:15pm.

Please note that we are still under construction in some areas of our campus and your patience is greatly appreciated as we wait for those projects to wrap up.

We anticipate some hot weather for the next few weeks, please make sure you are sending your child to school with filled water bottle.

On behalf of the staff, thank you for entrusting your child to us. It’s going to be a fantastic school year! Go Bulldogs!!

Warm regards,

Leah Dickey
