Principal's Welcome
As we move into cold and flu season, we ask that you monitor your student for signs of illness and keep them home when they are sick. Please contact our school nurse, Geana Chapp, at extension 120 with any questions or concerns.
Please remember to send your student in seasonally appropriate clothing, including jackets and outerwear, as they come to school each day. We will continue to go outside for recess as much as possible.
Wishing you and your families a safe and enjoyable holiday season, and please don't hesitate to reach out with any questions.
Mrs. Michelini

Attendance Reminder
Please call the attendance line (708) 447-8030, option 2 if your child will NOT be in attendance.

Winter Preschool Screening
We are planning to hold our second preschool screening this winter on Thursday, January 13th. We will also have an additional preschool screening in April.
Preschool screening is designed to assess a child's development and assist in identifying children who may require further evaluation to determine eligibility for special education services or those who may be eligible for a state-funded preschool program. Your child must be at least two and one half years old to attend a screening. The screenings are by appointment, and at no cost to families.
Please click HERE to complete the Preschool Screening Interest Form and someone will be in touch to with you to schedule an appointment for January 13.
If you have concerns about your preschool age child's development, please feel free to reach out to Dr. Janka, Director of Student Services, at any time. Her phone number is 708-447-8030, x115 and email is djanka@komarek94.org.

Tech Corner
Please ensure that student iPads and Chromebooks are charged and ready to go for the next day of school. These devices are important for your student's learning, and having a charged device helps your student's day start smoothly. Thank you in advance!
Headphones
Please note that headphones are on the school supply list for all students in grades K-8. These headphones ensure that our students can focus when using their devices. If you have not sent headphones to school with your student, please do so when possible. If you are unable to obtain headphones for your student, please contact their homeroom teacher or Patricia Boguslaw (pboguslaw@komarek94.org). Thank you!
