Cardiovascular health is the techiqual way to describe all diseases of heart and blood vessels. Some conditions include but are not limited to hypertension, obesity, high blood pressure and physical inactivity.

Why is it a National Health Priority

Cardiovascular health is a National Health Priority because it contributes significantly to the burden to the illness and injury in the Austrlian community.

Causes and symptoms

Cardiovascular health can be contributed to behavioural, environmental and biological factors. There is documented evidence to show contribution of these factors significantly increase the risk of death by cardiovascular disease.

Treatments and Prevention

Some treatments include antithrombotic medication, diuretics and lipid-modifying medicines.
