December 15, 2015

Dear Parents,

We are very busy preparing for the end of the semester. Students are ready for vacation. Tomorrow is the last day so you can imagine all the excitement, not to mention the huge quantities of sugar. Students will be dismissed at 12:45. No one should be staying after school on December 16th. Buses will leave at 12:50. Please arrange for drivers to pick up students promptly.

This is a busy season, but please take a few minutes to fill out the principal’s survey for both myself and Mr. Domenech. You can do so by clicking on the following links: Mrs. Sosa Mr. Domenech

Please, please, please continue to check our lost and found! We really want to reunite property and owners. We will be donating unclaimed items to charity starting December 21st. Surely, you want those fancy water bottles, lunch boxes, clothing etc. to come home for the holidays. Again we remind you to: Please label all clothing in permanent ink with your child’s first and last name. School sweatshirts all look the same

Our “Shoe Box” activity was a great success. We wrapped over 200 shoe boxes crammed full of wonderful things for children. The boxes will be picked up on December 21st and one group of gifts will be taken directly to Colon where approximately 115 children will be waiting for their gifts. The other boxes will be delivered to Hospital del Nino on January 6th. Thank you for your overwhelming generosity. These gifts will make a lot of children happy this holiday season.

Our Second Quarter music program was held on Friday, December 10, 2015. We had a great turnout and the children were wonderful. Many thanks to Mr. Bustos and Mr. Campbell for their outstanding effort. Some of our Middle School students were asked to play at the elementary concert which was held December 15th.

We were pleased to see so many parents come to celebrate the completion of Mrs Gough’s 8th grade class rollercoaster project. This year’s projects were amazing. Great thought and creativity were evident.

Classes will resume for students on Wednesday, January 20, 2015. Teachers will be back on Monday, January 18th for training.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for all your support during the first semester. I appreciate your generosity, willingness to help, and all the other wonderful things you do to make the Middle School a great place to work and learn.

I wish each one of you a wonderful holiday season full of love, peace, good health and many blessings.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the Middle School office 302-0032.
